MISC stuff around puters

well the equipment (some of em listed above too so list down here is what i have still)

Parallell port Zip drive

printers:
2 Brother HL 1040 laser printers, got one of these for free, bought the other second hand
1 Amstrad DMP 3160 matris printer, got this one for free
1 Citizen printiva 600C printer (in repair till citizen releases a powersupply)
1 commodore mps 801 (commodore 128/64 only) dot matris
(will be comment on this in hints later)
1 commodore 1520 (commodore 128/64 only) 4 colour plotter
scanner Acer vuego (scsi connected to scsi scanner card on p200)

monitors:
shamrock 17'' svga
tystar 14'' svga
samsung (13''?) svga
atari sm124 monocrome
philips amiga monitor (1081)

modems:
telix 33.6 modem (external)
gvc 56k (old kflex) so now 33.6 (thx snake) (external), moves around to where i need a modem
us robotics sportster voice fax, upgraded to x2 so now it's 33.6
this one had hit a wall (don't ask)
so i had to resolder much of it, and replace, speaker, powerswitch, teleconnector so
on, it now works at 33.6 without problems (tested) and is mounted in a clear
plexiglass case with board a bit raised so one can see it :-)
c64/128 Handic 300/300 (half and full duplex) 75/1200, 1200/75 modem

assorted mouses:
original atari and amiga most notably
ps2's and serials

amiga midi interface (4 ports), well make that 2 of these got one for free
with "new" a500

amiga sound sampler (stereo)
joystick/mouse switch for amiga
2x 520 rf modulators for amiga (one from a2000 (uses monitor instead))and
one with a500

nullmodem cables
rs232 tester
serial adaptors dsub 25-> dsub 9
serial adaptors dsub 9 -> dsub 25
serial gender changers both sizes
515 hdd ide (pending use)
270 hdd ide (pending use)
3com 509 bnc parallel tasking network card(pending use)
4x 4meg 72sim's (pending use)
joysticks for commodore, amiga, atari, pc

What qualities, tools and apps will i need???

Well patience, stubborness (you should WANT them to work and be willing to put time
and effort into researching and making it so), manuals, pinout charts, soldering ability
null modem, internet, search engines, rs232 tester, multimeter
if you can try to get manuals, original programs or disks with it
anything helps, more patience, more stubborness *G*

i'm looking to start an old puters bbs network, got an old puter and a
permanent connection to the internet? check what can be done with something
like a 486SX 25mhz with 16 megs ram and 250megs hdd
