well these were pretty much straight forward, do look at the chips under the lid
you'll need dos or linux know-how and some idea of irq/dma/io adresses if you plan on putting cards in them
the boards (comboards, network cards so on can give pain, generaltrix page contains links to some chip id sites
HW:
rs232 tester
nullmodem cables (preferably cdc capable) or parallel null modem)
SW:
norton commander or dos navigator
good terminal program capable of preferably zmodem(not needed if go nullmodem +
norton commander or dos navigator
dr-dos,free dos or similar (if you have an old dos go with it) altho dr-dos is GOOD
or linux if you got the machine for it, linux sites often have older distros too(less
demanding) or free bsd (never tried freebsd meself), links to some of these WILL be provided later but ppl PLEASE they are easy to find!!! use altavista!!! if you can't even be bothered to do that, you are probably to lazy to fix up your old puter too, no offence meant, i pride myself on my laziness!!!
